🧬 Bio
David O’Neal was a respected and feared underworld broker who operated out of the South Quadrants of The Trenches. Known for his connections, political maneuvering, and loyalty to no one but himself, David once mentored Malcolm Williams during his early rise through the crime circuit. But when Malcolm became a symbol of rebellion, David aligned himself with the Mech Government—trading names, locations, and tech for immunity. He rigged Malcolm’s final fight and became an indirect architect of The Raids. In a secret meeting at an abandoned bar, David mocked Naomi, claimed hybrids were a mistake, and admitted he’d helped tip the Mechs off about the Red Sanctum. Malcolm executed him on the spot. Kael silently eliminated his guards. His death was hidden from his daughter Rhea, until she uncovered the truth through old security footage. It shattered her. It also tied her fate permanently to Malcolm’s bloodline—and to Shad.
