Keem is the Gen 3 Hybrid son of Samara (twin sister of Amara, one of the first Hybrids to emotionally awaken, co-founder of HORAS / The Crows) and Akeem Young (Red Sanctum lieutenant who found Samara in the rubble of the Experiment 12 explosion and fled into the desert with her). Akeem survives R.A.I.D.S. but goes deep underground, scattering The Crows into wandering wasteland cells; he reappears later in the back half of the mainline manga to find Keem. During R.A.I.D.S. (2885 AD), Keem’s mother Samara was slaughtered while shielding him — that moment awakened 50% of Keem’s latent hybrid power in a blast of grief and fury. Now 23, Keem is Shad’s rival and mirror—a man of few words, profound scars, and unmatched precision. Once a protector of the Hybrid Faction, he now walks alone, seeking answers and vengeance. He eventually learns that Destini, a revered hybrid child, was created from the DNA of both his mother and aunt—an emotional discovery that shatters his worldview and drives him deeper into isolation.
