PD001 “PONDO” is the first Mech ever to cross the boundary from programmed intelligence into living consciousness. Originally designed as a passive observational AI, PONDO becomes the reluctant guardian of Earth after exposure to Maine Energy (ME) and contact with an extinct alien species who foresaw humanity’s collapse. PONDO is not a conqueror by intent — it is a traumatized protector forced to choose between human autonomy and human survival.
