🔵 Nu’at – Divine metaphysical force. Ancestral, emotional, tied to cosmic resonance (used by Ukani, Destini).
🔴 Maine Energy – Synthetic energy harnessed for Mech systems, weapons, and gloves (e.g. James, Shad).
🔥 Black Flame – Forbidden rage-fueled energy (Malcolm, Shad). Volatile and lethal.
⚫ Hybrid Fusion / VSN – Mech-organic resonance of emotion and sentience (Keem, Destini, Amara, Samara, Naomi).
🟣 Cyber-Aether – Neural cybernetic energy from the far future (Daughters of Tiye), fusing memory and rebellion.
💎 Nu’at Crystals – Non-degrading resonance batteries holding living consciousness imprints; Maine Glass is their inferior synthetic descendant. They sit at Tier 2 of the revised 9-tier power scale (see Power Systems).
🌀 Torsion / Drift Cores – Antigravity mobility tech reverse-engineered from Zakai torsion fields (mobility note below).

v2.0 note: The energy hierarchy was expanded to a 9-tier power scale in Power Systems (Nu’at Crystals land at Tier 2). That scale ranks power sources; the Tier 0–4 list below ranks combatants — complementary axes, not the same one.

Combat mobility (v2.0): Drift Cores / torsion drives add an antigravity mobility layer to Trenches fights — short-burst flight, wall-running, rapid repositioning. Keel fights on a stabilized Drift Core; Shad stays deliberately ground-locked by choice. The Remnant beneath Zone 47 use torsion natively.

🛡️ Keem Daniels (100% Ascended) ⚫ Power Source: Hybrid Fusion / VSN 🌀 Weapon / Ability: 20-ft Ukani Shuriken 🥷 Combat Style: Tactical, silent, death incarnate 📜 Notes: Fourth strongest. Walking weapon of legacy and grief.

🩸 Dreyan (Dark Lord Form) 👁️ Power Source: Corrupted Nu’at, Zakai infusion 🖤 Weapon / Ability: Echoed Soul-Fist, fractured time aura 🩻 Combat Style: Reality distortion, corrupted martial mastery 📜 Notes: Fifth strongest. The Akili who fell into darkness.

🎖️ James Okoro (100% Maine Powered + White Flash) 🔴 Power Source: Maine Energy + White Flash (rare Black Flame variant — see Power Systems > White Flash Mystery) 🦾 Weapon / Ability: Full-body Maine Combat Armor + Zawli Dance technique 📐 Combat Style: Battle-hardened strategist. No wasted movement. When pushed, ignites silver-white flame around the gloves — a fire no one can fully explain. 📜 Notes: Old war legend. Still undefeated in close-quarters combat. The only known non-lineage Black Flame practitioner; even James doesn’t know how the flame chose him.

Strategist of the old world. Silent. Calculated. Shuriken Master.

Weapon: Oversized divine shuriken, etched with rotating Ukani glyphs

Notes: Zyra’s twin brother. Loyal to Kael above all. Emotionally reserved, but an absolute battlefield god.

🌫️ Eira – The Eternal Flame

Kael’s twin soul. The sword that speaks.

Final Form: Exists only within Kael’s awakened sword, voice guides him in battle

Notes: Though physically dead, Eira is always present. Her resonance fuels Kael’s most devastating strikes. She remains conscious inside the blade.

🔥Amara – The First Hybrid Flame

Combat Style: Defensive protector, Aether-charged aura attacks
Notes: Rejected her creators, escaped, gave birth to Naomi, and sparked The Cleanse. Died post-childbirth in James’ arms. One of the earliest examples of a hybrid forming emotional resonance.

⚫Samara – The Twin Blade

Power Source: Hybrid Fusion
Combat Style: Precision melee, energy-based short-range defense
Notes: Twin of Amara, mother of Keem. Died protecting children in The Raids. Her death triggered Keem’s 50% Awakening.

Notes: Similar to MCU’s Chitauri—visually terrifying but tactically weak. Serve Dreyan and the higher Zakai. Wiped out in mass by Akili during Echoes of Ukan.

Tactics: Recon, target marking, small arms suppression
Notes: Easily defeated by base-level rebels or untrained hybrids. Used by the Mech Government to keep fear active in submissive zones.

Strength Level: Comparable to Base KC
Notes: Sent in groups during raids. Dangerous in packs, weak solo. Used by X80 to maintain visual control over The Trenches. Often the first wave before Commanders show up.

Notes: Former UCC researcher. Saved Kael. Tier 3 by physicality, Tier 1 in intel. She’s the one who built half the tech these fools use.

🌟 Canon v2.1 — Grand Resonant Endgame (ranking additions)

Grand Resonant — apex Tier 0 state. Destini’s age-13 ascension into the Grand Resonant is the singular cosmic apex of the power scale — a Tier-0 state (atmospheric, agonizing, perception-relative), separate from and above the named #1–#9 combatant ranking. It is not a combat slot; it is the top of the cosmology.
PD002 / KC — watcher status (not a combat tier). In the epilogue KC is revealed as PD002, Zathurus’s hidden second Prime Directive. She does not seize rule; humanity chooses self-governance and accepts PD002 as a consenting watcher / curator. Her standing is custodial, not a combatant rank — the corrected answer to PONDO/PD001 (protection through remembrance and consent vs protection through domination).
Male-hybrid combatants. Shad and Keem are the only male hybrids to reach maturity (XX–VSN bonding stabilizes females; males otherwise die before age 3) — context for why both rank where they do among living combatants.
