👥 Main Cast
- Shad – Protagonist. Hybrid son of Naomi (a Pure Hybrid — daughter of Amara and General James Okoro) and Malcolm Williams (street boxer turned warlord turned street activist), his entire family was killed in The RAIDs. He is fighting to make sense of his past and forge a new future.
- Kael –Formerly known as Kajin, Shad’s stoic adopted uncle and mentor, he is a former UCC Corp member & best friend of Shad’s late father Malcolm Williams, he is a skilled assassin and swordsman wielding a scythe as a not only his main weapon but a relic carrying the weight of two timelines.
- Keem – Hot-headed hybrid warrior. Cousin of Shad. Son of Samara, Shad’s Aunt. Driven by grief and vengeance from the loss of his mother and tribesmen during the RAIDs he now mentors a young girl with mysterious powers.
- Rhea – Genius Techie. In love with Shad. Struggles with her father’s murder at hands of Shad’s father Malcolm. She has an unwavering loyalty to Shad and his cause as they grew up together as orphans after the events of the RAIDs.
- KC – Rogue droid that has achieved sentience after taking damage on a failed protection assignment for Esperanza — the 8-year-old hybrid daughter of a powerful South American drug lord. Late-Trenches reveal: KC was secretly built by Dr. Jordan Zathurus (PONDO’s creator) as a private protector for Esperanza, with a hidden guilt-subroutine fail-safe encoded in her core. Neither KC nor PONDO knows. She is corrupted by her corrosive for understanding love and grief. Efficient, lethal, and looking for purpose. She decides to forge her own path.
- Destini – 8-year-old Pure Hybrid manifested from pure Nu’at. She wields a mysterious omnipotent power that will to shape the future forever. Worshipped, hunted, awakening.
- James Okoro – Shad’s grandfather a former UCC General nicknamed The White Flash for his thunderous shockwaves of his attacks. The battle-hardened legend from the 3rd Rebellion War struggles internally with regret and purpose. Trains Shad after coming back to the Trenches after years of nomadic solitude.
- X80 – Mech enforcer Ascended by the Divine 9 — VANTH’s ruling Mech council — from a lower-ranking DFM Droid, sentience granted at VANTH’s authority (an extremely rare honor), who leads the DFM Force. Rules the Trenches with brutal control. His gift of sentience and “free will” may also be the curse VANTH did not intend.
- Mirah – Kael’s blood daughter — the only half-Ukani in existence, though she has no clue. Until Act 2 when she discovers her father’s true origins in the Red Sanctum archives, she’s just a gifted weaponsmith with the superior intellect of her mother Dr. Araya N’Shoba (a genius former UCC scientist). Loyal to her father, she watches over him curiously. Although she hides it because of his recklessness, she cares deeply for Shad’s best friend Stacks. Once awakened, her latent Nu’at potential makes her one of the strongest characters of the Trenches era. Her full awakening comes through grief — she unlocks her Ukani heritage witnessing Kael’s death in the endgame.
- Stacks – Shad’s best friend loyal and a courageous but reckless fighter. He grew up an orphan with Shad & Rhea after the events of The RAIDS. He loves his friends, guns, c.o.i.n, and Mirah he doesn’t care about anything else. Going on gigs with Shad to make coin is his favorite pastime as the two have built an unbreakable bond.

They hold up there. A spy drone watches…
- Second DFM Raid – After being reprimanded by VANTH, X80 launches his retaliatory offense against The Trenches and Squad 816. James is overran by a multitude of droids, Kael is near defeat, Shad joins the battle not 100% and against Rhea’s wishes, he and Kael push past their limits and go OP. X80 retreats. Kael loses himself and disappears after the climax of the battle.

Mirah and stacks decide to leave The Trenches and head to her mothers old lab “The Red Sanctum” for answers. KC chooses to assist.
- The Rise of the Cleanse 2.0 –X80 is stripped of rank and banished to the Gulag a scrapyard for decommissioned droids, he fights to save and rebuild himself vowing revenge against VANTH. He builds other droids forms a small faction went on the destruction of humanity, hybrids and VANTH. After a spy drone locates Keem and Destini, VANTH launches another attack with Destini as the target. Shad, James, Rhea train and study Shad’s hybrid blood. Rhea finally shares with Shad the incident with their fathers. Elsewhere Mirah, Stacks & KC traverse the wastelands to locate The Red Sanctum. Kael drifts further into madness and challenges James to a fight. Mirah, Stacks, KC, Keem and Destini coalesce at the sanctum and put their difference aside to defend it from enclosing droids. Once inside Mirah finds the archival data of her mother and her uncle Angus’ recordings and other documentation and records which reveal the story behind the Pure Hybrids, Kael not being of this world, the Rebellion Wars and Experiment 12. The archives also reveal that Dr. Araya was captured — not killed — during R.A.I.D.S. and forced into UCC research (she secretly miscalibrated the targeting to spare Destini); she may still be alive, a thread that stays unresolved for Mirah.
